Looking for an established firm of Chartered Accountants in Cheshire, North Wales or the Wirral, Johnstone Howell & Co have had a presence in Ellesmere Port since 1929 when A A Johnstone first opened his office in Carnegie Street. Andrew Watson joined Johnstone Howell & Co. in March 1979 and has overseen many stages in the firm's development. As senior partner he is proud that the practice is the largest and longest established firm of Chartered Accountants based in the Ellesmere Port area. Andrew has extensive knowledge and experience of a wide variety of income, corporate and capital taxation matters. He has acted for many manufacturing and other large industrial concerns and groups of limited companies.

L Glasman Bsc FCA

Les Glasman is the audit compliance partner of Johnstone Howell & Co. drawing upon his experience as Audit Manager of a "Big Four" firm. He is also responsible for all quality control procedures and staff training. Les has a broad client base with many clients in the health, contracting and retail sectors. He acts for numerous personal service companies and private tax clients. He is a member of the Faculty of Taxation of the ICAEW.

A M Bagnall FCA

Andrew Bagnall joined the practice in October 2001 initially as Audit Manager. He is a member of the Audit and Assurance, IT and Corporate Finance faculties of the ICAEW. Andrew takes a keen interest in promoting the firm to the local business community. He has extensive experience of acting for all types of owner managed entities, from established businesses to new start-ups.

Mrs E Crozier FCCA

Elaine Crozier trained and qualified as an accountant with Johnstone Howell & Co. For a time she managed the firm's satellite office in Mold looking after the affairs of many agricultural clients. She is a member of the NFU. Elaine also acts for many builders and personal tax clients. She has detailed knowledge of payroll and VAT matters and extensive experience of taxation under the rules of the Construction Industry Scheme.
